Kelly is a graduate of Westminster Choir College in Princeton, New Jersey and possess a Bachelor of Music in Sacred Music with a concentration in organ and voice studies. Kelly is also certified in Critical Pedagogy of Music Education and in the Orff-Schulwerk method of teaching. Kelly plays the organ, piano, celtic harp and cello.
She has been the organist and Director of Music Ministry at Saint Joseph Church for twenty-seven years which include playing the organ, directing the adult, handbell and hand chime choirs. She is also the coordinator of cantors and liturgical planning.
Previously Kelly was the organist at Our Lady Queen of Peace in Branchville, New Jersey. She began playing organ regularly in church at the age of eleven.
Kelly has taught vocal music at Blairstown Elementary School in Blairstown, New Jersey since 2005. She is also the co-founder of the Stillwater Folk Harp Society. A harp ensemble which performs a variety of styles of music including celtic, folk, classical, and popular. She performs professionally for weddings as well as other events. She also volunteers for engagements at local nursing homes and hospitals.
Kelly's wonderful smile and hosts of talents make her an exceptional addition to the Parish Staff here at Saint Joseph Church.
