What We Believe

I believe in God, the Father almighty, Creator of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried; He descended into hell; on the third day He rose again from the dead; He ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from there He will come to judge the living and the dead  I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting. Saint Joseph Church is a Christian Catholic Community which follows the traditions and laws of Latin Rite of the Catholic Church.  We are people that are united and find our strength from the Lord Jesus Christ present in the Holy Eucharist. 

Therefore, the most important thing that we do as Catholics, is to celebrate the Holy Eucharist.  From and in this celebration of our faith, all our ministries and other Sacraments find their meaning and purpose. 

Whether it is feeding the poor, clothing the naked, educating our youth or preparing our faithful for the sacraments of Baptism, First Penance, Confirmation, Marriage or Holy Orders, all of these find in the Holy Eucharist their "source and summit."
